Beautiful truth
But whatever was to my profit, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may know Christ and be found in Him…
This is speaking truth to me this morning. All of our lives, whether we see it now, are but “rubbish” compared to His surpassing greatness. And, although Paul is speaking of his accomplishments in this passage, that includes our failures too! Christ is over all and through all! And our light and momentary troubles are are achieving for us a joy that far outweighs them all… How I love His Word and how he speaks to my circumstances when I allow Him to!
“Don’t be discouraged for a minute that you’re not worthy or that all your work won’t be noticed or that no one will ever see you. He has seen you before the beginning of time. He has adopted you before the wins and the fails, before the good and the bad. He has called you daughter.” From She Reads Truth in Phillipians
